Privacy

Effective date: August 26, 2026

Plain-language summary: Softdro Social Network collects the information needed to create accounts, provide social features, secure the Service, and communicate with users. Your audience settings determine who can see the content you post. We do not sell personal information for money. You may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. The detailed policy below controls if this summary conflicts with it.

1. Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Softdro Social Network (“Softdro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information when you use our websites, accounts, social-networking features, messages, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

Softdro is the controller or responsible operator for personal information covered by this Policy. Contact us at admin@softdro.com. This Policy does not cover independent third-party services that have their own privacy policies.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: name, email address, username, password in protected form, birthdate, gender selection, and account status.
  • Profile information: profile and cover photos, biography, location, work, education, interests, and any other optional profile fields you complete.
  • User Content: posts, comments, photos, videos, links, reactions, group content, and other material you upload or create.
  • Communications: private messages, reports, support requests, moderation appeals, and correspondence with us. Private messages are processed to deliver and protect the messaging service and are not displayed publicly.
  • Contacts and invitations: information you choose to provide when inviting or connecting with other people.

Information collected through use of the Service

  • Activity and connections: friends, groups, follows, likes, reactions, comments, searches, notifications, and interactions with content.
  • Device and log information: IP address, browser type, device and operating-system information, referring pages, requested URLs, timestamps, error records, and security events.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: session identifiers, login state, preferences, security tokens, and cache or performance information.
  • Approximate location: a broad location inferred from an IP address where used for security, language, diagnostics, or legal compliance. We do not claim to collect precise device location unless a feature clearly asks for permission.

Information from others

We may receive information when another user mentions, tags, messages, reports, or invites you; from service providers that help us operate and secure the Service; and from lawful public or official sources when needed to investigate abuse or comply with law.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create, authenticate, maintain, and recover accounts;
  • display profiles and deliver posts, media, messages, groups, friendships, notifications, search, and other requested features;
  • apply your audience, privacy, and account settings;
  • personalise content and improve usability, reliability, and performance;
  • send service, security, account-verification, and administrative emails;
  • detect spam, fraud, abuse, malware, unauthorised access, and violations of our Terms;
  • moderate content, investigate reports, enforce policies, and handle appeals;
  • debug, analyse, maintain, and develop the Service;
  • protect users, Softdro, and the public; and
  • comply with legal obligations and valid legal processes.

4. Legal bases where required

Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis, we process information as necessary to perform our contract with you and provide the Service; to comply with legal obligations; with your consent, which you may withdraw; and for legitimate interests such as securing, maintaining, improving, and protecting the Service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights. We may also process information to protect vital interests or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

5. Public content, audience settings, and visibility

Your name, username, profile photo, and content marked public may be visible to anyone, including people without an account, and may appear in search engines or be copied or reshared by others. Content shared with friends, groups, or another selected audience is made available according to those settings, but recipients may still capture or redistribute it.

Review the audience selector before posting. Deleting content removes it from normal display, but copies may remain temporarily in backups, security records, legal records, or content independently retained or reshared by others.

6. How we disclose information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • According to your choices: to users, groups, or the public based on the audience and features you select.
  • Service providers: to hosting, storage, security, email-delivery, maintenance, and technical providers that process information for us under appropriate obligations.
  • Safety and enforcement: where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, threats, exploitation, security incidents, or violations of our Terms.
  • Legal reasons: when required by applicable law, valid court order, or lawful government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and property.
  • Business changes: in connection with a merger, financing, reorganisation, sale, or transfer of all or part of the Service, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.
  • With your direction or consent: when you request an integration, sharing action, or other disclosure.

We may use and disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you, subject to applicable law.

7. Sale, targeted advertising, and profiling

Softdro does not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising unless we first provide any notice and choice required by applicable law. If advertising features are enabled, ads may be selected using general context such as the page being viewed rather than a profile built from activity across unrelated businesses.

We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you solely through automated processing unless we explain the process and provide rights required by applicable law.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember settings, protect forms and accounts, balance or cache requests, and maintain Service functionality. Optional analytics or advertising technologies, if introduced, will be described and managed as required by applicable law.

You can control cookies through your browser. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login or cause parts of the Service to stop working.

9. Data retention

We retain account information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service. Retention periods vary according to the type of information, user choices, operational needs, sensitivity, legal obligations, security and abuse-prevention needs, and dispute requirements.

After deletion, information may remain for a limited period in backups and recovery systems before being overwritten. We may retain limited records longer where necessary to comply with law, respond to valid requests, prevent repeated abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect rights and safety. We will not use retained information for unrelated purposes.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, such as access controls, protected password storage, transport security where configured, software maintenance, and monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password, protect your devices, and contact admin@softdro.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

11. International processing

Softdro and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use recognised legal mechanisms and safeguards for international transfers. You may contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.

12. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your location and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to:

  • know whether and how we process your personal information;
  • access or receive a copy of information associated with you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • delete information or your account;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive portable information in a commonly used format;
  • withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing;
  • opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising where those concepts apply;
  • appeal a refusal of a privacy request; and
  • complain to a competent data-protection or consumer-protection authority.

You may update available profile information and settings through your account. For other requests, email admin@softdro.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Describe your request and the account involved. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding. An authorised representative may submit a request where permitted by law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

13. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and they may not create accounts. Where local law requires a higher minimum age or parental authorisation, that requirement applies. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who cannot lawfully use the Service. If you believe a child provided information improperly, contact admin@softdro.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

14. Third-party services

Links, embedded media, integrations, and other third-party services may collect information under their own policies. Softdro does not control their independent practices. Review their privacy policies before providing information or enabling an integration.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service, law, or our practices change. We will post the revised Policy and update the effective date. We will provide additional notice or request consent for material changes when required by law.
